Simulation

The SCADE simulator provides an environment in which to simulate and test the model (which is also the code you will embed) in continuous, interactive and batch modes. During the simulation, it marks the values of inputs and outputs in the model. The granularity of simulation can be chosen by the user; simulating the total system, one part of the system, or a single module.

The SCADE simulator supports assertions, breakpoints and stop conditions. It can save and load simulation scenarios and will record the variation of important signals. Users can also roll back steps in order to more carefully study a bug where it appears. In addition, the JavaBeansT integration can be used to create a realistic simulation view.

  • Execution of a SCADE description.
  • Early detection of specification errors.
  • Automatic non-regression tests.
  • Interactive and batch modes.
  • Variable values displayed in the graphical model.
Variable values are displayed in simulation
  • Access to internal variables and probes for debugging.
    Simulation watches and graphs
  • Breakpoints within the real time clock cycle for debugging
    Setting a Breakpoint
  • Stop conditions.
  • Complete simulation of the actual production code with the external user code (if any).
  • Scenario recorder and player.
  • Graphical widget library (JavaBeans).
  • Simulation can be driven with TCL scripts which enable easy connections with your own customized simulators (co-simulation).
  • Implementation types support with underflow/overflow detection.
