Embedded World 2011

New SCADE System and SCADE LifeCycle Product Lines Recognized

Elancourt, France and Boston, Massachusetts — March 22, 2011

Esterel Technologies, the leading worldwide provider of model-based development solutions for critical systems and software, today announced that VDC Research, a technology market research and strategy consulting firm that advises clients in a number of technology markets including Embedded Software and Tools, selected the company as the winner of the software Best of Show Embeddy at Embedded World 2011. VDC Research chose Esterel Technologies for the creation and announcement of two new product lines, SCADE System™ and SCADE LifeCycle™. VDC Research based the selection on the strength of the new product lines within Esterel Technologies' SCADE® product family.

Chris Rommel, Sr. Analyst at VDC Research, states, The addition of SCADE System, which targets SysML based development, will become an increasingly valuable piece of Esterel's portfolio as a growing percentage of engineering teams attempt to generate higher level designs of entire embedded systems, beyond just the control application modeling that Esterel SCADE has been used for historically.
