Esterel Technologies Expands Presence in China

Mountain View, California and Elancourt, France - February 21, 2005

Esterel Technologies, a leading worldwide supplier of model-based design, validation, and verification tools for the development of high-reliability embedded software applications, today announced it is expanding its activities in China, to support its current and fast-growing SCADE™ customer base there and to actively pursue additional growth opportunities in this burgeoning market.

The Esterel Technologies team in China, headed by Dr. Yunming Wang, will serve their customers from offices in prestigious Pudong Software Park in Shanghai, home to many high-tech companies. Esterel’s customers are leading institutes at AVICI, such as the Chinese Aeronautical Radio Electronics Research Institute (CARERI) in Shanghai, the Flight Automatic Control Research Institute (FACRI) in Xi’an, the Chengdu Aircraft Development & Research Institute and the Chengdu Aero-Instrument Corporation in Chengdu, plus several CASC institutes, such as the Xi’an Institute of Space Radio Technology.
